What is eco-glitter?
Eco-glitter is over 90% biodegradable, made from plant-based cellulose, and produced using sustainably grown European eucalyptus wood with environmentally friendly methods. Eco-glitter can be used on the skin and hair in exactly the same way as other cosmetic glitters, and the products contain no trace of metals or other toxins. The pigment for the eco-glitter's surface is conjured with natural dyes, and that wonderful shimmer on the glitter's surface is achieved with a 0.1% aluminum coating (small amounts of aluminum also occur naturally in the soil!). We know that an aluminum surface might sound alarming, but there is no danger because completely non-toxic substances are used in the production of eco-glitter, so no dangerous compounds are formed. Awesome, right?!
